The weather has begun to warm up here in the Southwestern United States. Hot days are ahead and it has me thinking about summer thunderstorms. You can see them roll in from a distance; the sky goes grey and dark. When it happens at sunset, amazing colors light up the sky. Monsoon season is the only thing I like about our hot summers, a brief respite from the hot sun.
August Monsoon is a mixed media painting on watercolor paper. It is a blend of acrylics, ink, and collage presented in an expressionistic landscape. It is available as an original work or as a print.
